Services for Clinics
- Help guide a clinic in designing a strategy to implement an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and progress toward becoming meaningful users of their investment
- Assess EHR implementation readiness
- Facilitate EHR system selection and orchestrate physician and staff participation in the process.
- Facilitate the design and creation of an EHR governance body
- Facilitate the restarting of an EHR implementation that appears stalled by:
- Interviewing physicians, nurses and clinic staff to assess the issue
- Making specific recommendations drawing from previous experience in EHR implementations
- Assess the clinic's readiness to achieve meaningful use based on the criterial as established by CMS (Medicare) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (Medicaid).
- Address specific steps a clinic can take to meet 2011, 2013 and 2015 meaningful use criteria regardless of their EHR implementation status
- Assist in workflow redesign to enagle more efficient processes
- Assist in the design of the chart documentation tools and other components of the EHR so that quality goals can be measured and met
- In the case of clinics with multiple care delivery sites, assist in the creation of standard tools to be used across the sites to improve efficiency, safety and quality
- Assist in creating ways to efficiently retrieve hospital information so providers are able to provide efficient and high-quality follow-up care
- Assist in facilitating learnings and the exchange of methods for EHR efficiencies among other clinic facilities
