Assist in evaluating solutions to current physician problems
Provide a physician prospective to proposed technology solutions
Provide care-giver compatible solutions to sticky technology problems
Provide guidance as to what needs to be done make available the data necessary to improve quality and demonstrate meaningful use. Methods to be considered would be:
Leveraging the features in the current EHR or
Assisting in the evaluation of plug-in solutions to collect and present the data or
Building the necessary tools when neither of the previous solutions is viable.
Provide updates on "meaningful use" as it evolves and assess whether Meditech will be able to address these out of the box, or if another solution will be required.
Break down the steps necessary to meet the measures of meaningful use to allow for responsibilities to be assigned to help meet these measures.
Assist in the creation of a patient summary document to use when a patient travels from one location (EHR) to another. This document may start on paper but should eventually become an electronic one.
Assist in creating links with twin cities health systems so that city dwellers need to be seen in the boundary waters, that there an easier transfer of information
